Shyamji Krishna Varma

A follower of Herbert Specer who imbibed the philosophy of "survival of the fittest".Shymaji was born in october 30 1857 the year of revolution in Indian continent.Son of Karshanbhai Nakua. He married with his friend Ramdas Bhatia`s sister Bhanumati.
  
         His schooling from Bhuj,graduation from Balliol college Oxford.He chose the career as a Divan of king Ratlam but after some time he settled in Ajamer the headquater of his Guru Swami Dayanand Swaraswati.

Shyamaji announced two type of fellowship to schooler Indian students with name of Herbert Specer and Swami Dayanand Saraswati.

        Outbreak of plague in Poona was his political turning point .Atrocities by British officers on fellow Indian people made him a true revolutionary in nature and after that he started his activity in great passion and pace.

       From Lenin, Dada Bhai Navroji,Madam Bhikhaiji Kama,Harry Quelch,charlloti Dsperd,Lala Hardayal,Sardarsinh Rana,Vinayak Damodar Savarkar,Virendranath Chatopadhyay,Gandhi,Tilak,Gokhale to lalaji all visited his home.His monthly Indian sociologist and organisation Indian Home Rule Society were his big contribution to Indian Indipendence.

      Shymaji was a true political thinker and a man of great valor of nationalism.Scholar of Sanskrit and International politics Shymaji mat so many revolutionary,sociologist,social democrates,irish revolutionary ,rational thinkers,orienatalists,communists and Indian national congresses and positivist.He was a man of thoughts rather than dirty politics.He believed in national unification and national brotherhood . He was in favor of Indian nationalism against alien rule of Britishers.

Due to his attendance in united congress democretes at Holborn Townhall in 1907 as an Indian nationalist entire British media became outrageous against and mentioned him as "notorious Krishnaverma".

He shifted his domicile from London to Paris and eventually Geneva.
             A great man of great wisdom lies in heart of young Indians rather than only in Mandavi.

Umashankar Joshi - A Living Legend

Gujarat government is celebrating birth anniversary of poet Umashankar Joshi . you must know about him in brief .
Umashankar Joshi was born in Bamna village in Sabarkantha 21 july in 1921.

  • He completed his matriculation from Eader.
  • Studdied B.A.from Gujarat college Ahmedabad.
  • Studied M.A. from Elphinston college Bombay.
  • His caryeer stared as a school teacher to Gujarat university chancellor.
  • He wrote short stories,novel,criticizam play,biography.
  • He married in 1937 with Jyotsnaben. His daughters are Nandini and Swati.
  • He worked in gujarati sahitya parishad ,Sahitya academy and vice chancellor.
  • He got awards like:- 

Janpith Award(1967),
Ranjitram SuvarnaChandrak Award,
Narmad SuvarnaChandrak Award (1947), 
Soviet Land Nehru Award(1973).
